PLANNED & ESTATE GIFTS

Endowment funding is given special priority in SCORE's strategic planning initiative and efforts to raise philanthropic funds for this purpose are always in process.

A charitable organization's endowment is central to its current and long-term growth and financial health.

SCORE seeks to build its endowment through a variety of ways to give to the organization. Primary to those efforts are estate planning gifts from individuals like yourself.

Other ways to support the work of SCORE

• WILLS/BEQUESTS
Some people believe that giving to charitable institutions through their will is only for the extremely wealthy. However, for every large, well-publicized charitable bequest, there are countless smaller ones arranged by people of all means, in all walks of life. Giving through your will can be an easy way to continue to impact entrepreneurs and small business counseling after your passing.

• CHARITABLE REMAINDER TRUST
This gift pays you income.
A Charitable Remainder Trust is a life income gift that pays income to you and/or other beneficiaries for a term of years or until your passing. When the trust terminates, The SCORE Foundation receives the remainder of the trust.

• CHARITABLE LEAD TRUST
A Charitable Lead Trust is a gift that makes annual contributions to The SCORE Foundation for a term of years. The property then passes to your heirs with substantial tax savings. You can safeguard your estate for your heirs while you support the work of SCORE.

• LIFE INSURANCE
The SCORE Foundation may be named as the owner and/or beneficiary of an existing or new life insurance policy.

• REAL ESTATE
Under certain circumstances, The SCORE Foundation can accept real property as a donation.

As with all gifts to a charitable organization, there are many tax and estate benefits that accompany the joy you will receive from giving to the mission of The SCORE Foundation. We recommend that you consult with your attorney, CPA and financial planner to discuss your particular financial situation in detail.

Estate planning gifts like those mentioned above qualify individuals for membership in the John and Edith Titley Recognition Society of SCORE.
